Good, music and dance oriented club night in London...?

In Ibiza, there are some great club nights where it is all about the music, the dancing, and the atmosphere – however I have failed to find a night like this in London.

I am looking for a club night with decent house music (particularly ‘sexy house’); less 18 year olds than many London nights seem to attract, and with a good dancing atmosphere – often in London club nights I feel it is more about how you look rather than the music and dancing.

Any suggestions? And yes, I have tried most of the biggies.

Thanks all :-)

I know what you mean…

I have lived in a few cities, and the london clubbing scene seemed so erm, cold, up its own arse and very little of dancing like no ones watching and far too much of look at me – I’m too cool for school.

I have ended up liking a few places, which are rather ‘messy’ but, more than make up for it in friendly atmosphere, with the likes of chats in the bogs, random interactions and generally have a good crowd.

They are….

Plan B, Brixton, Notting Hill Arts Centre (not been there recently, but have still heard good reports…), The Telegraph, Madame Jo Jos, Cargo, and Lost (at different locations, but you can sign up to their email and they are listed in Time Out – Jeff Mills always seems to play a set).

I think there may well be ‘sexy house’ nights at The Telegraph and Cargo, Lost may be a bit more techo house.

...but to be honest, they all have different ‘nights’ and in my experience and nice bunch of peeps.

good luck…
