    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Hampstead Heath, especially near Jack Straw&amp;#8217;s Castle (nothing to do with politics or cottaging). Beautiful views and so on. But I would also put ticks against Greenwich. There are lots of places in Epping Forest, but very few are easily accessible via public transport.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

	&lt;p&gt;More specifically&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Parliament Hill (the kite flying field), lively part of the Heath with plenty of others getting picnicked.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Just outside Kenwood near the kitchen garden (Don&#8217;t know if it has a proper name), good view, not usually as busy as other spots.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Highgate ponds, good spot if you&#8217;re looking for a duck or two, and terrapins nearby for that hint of the exotic (gets really exotic if you move closer to the bathing pond).&lt;/p&gt;

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Not north but Blackheath is lovely, great views of Canary Wharf and has nearby pubs to retire to. Crystal Palace Park is also a great place for a picnic. You can even have a &lt;span class="caps"&gt;BBQ&lt;/span&gt; there without being told off.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Lincoln&amp;#8217;s Inn Fields is nice too.  Really quiet, there&amp;#8217;s a restaurant or cafe or something in it too, and there&amp;#8217;s a funny little pub round the corner called the Bountiful Cow.&lt;/p&gt;

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;I went to Hyde Park on Saturday. The last time I went was about 2 years ago, when I was wowed by people zooming around on roller blades. This time, there was still a load of bladers, but none of them seemed to be able to use the damned things.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;I joined in the spirit of &amp;#8220;Attempting to do something in public that you are shit at&amp;#8221;, and kicked a football at various people, before nearly having someone&amp;#8217;s head off with an aerobie.&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;Didn&amp;#8217;t like it. There are better parks in London.&lt;/p&gt;</content>
