If you can call something that’s been painstakingly organised and publicised on the web and via a weekly newsletter anarchy, that is.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had seen any of the Street Blitz graffiti around the place. Looking at the map, there appear to be only 4 instances of it so far. 5 days into a 15-day campaign, that seems somewhat apathetic to me. Where are all the witty ripostes to the big ad campaigns? The pedantic correction of spelling and punctuation on poorly-worded signs? The scrubbing out of Tox07 with something more interesting?

So, Londoners, if you were to take part in the Street Blitz campaign, what would you do, and why?

I don’t know what the hell that’s all about but while checking the calendar on my phone today, I noticed a strange appointment for July 17th that I certainly hadn’t added. And you know what it said? Eh? “Anarchy”. I shit you not. And I have no idea how it got there.

I went on the site and am still a bit confused. They want us to graffitti the place but pretend its some marketing/advertising thing? It sounds like, as Bill Hicks would have put it, those fuckers who suck the cock of Satan getting in on the Banksy phenomenon.

I took a leak against a wall in Brixton last night, made a lovely pattern. Does that count?
