I have asked a similar question before but this time I am narrowing my search. Does anyone know of anywhere good to eat in Elephant and Castle which is close to the tube? Preferably cheap as well as tastey.

The Dragon Castle on the Walworth Road – really decent Chinese food, totally recommended. Also, the Vietnamese food at the William pub. Alternatively, there are a couple of Latin American places on Newington butts, but I’ve been too chicken to try them – if you go there, let me know if they’re any good!

La Bodeguita in the shopping centre? It’s open late and is Latin American and serves lots of meat.

Nando’s, and the Thai just up St George’s Road – Lye Tong? There’s a couple of cheapy noodley places between the two main roundabouts, and the Castle Tandoori is ok too. Just ok.
I didn’t find anything particularly out of the ordinary at Dragon Castle, standard chinese if you ask me. And the waiting staff were far too keen to tidy up, refill glasses, etc.
You’re really better off sticking to Borough High St, or the restaurants around the junction of Kennington Park Rod and Kennington Lane.

iSD – go for the lunchtime dim sum, it’s much better value than the evening menu and it’s really good. Especially the teriyaki venison skewers!

Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes again to Dragon Castle.
Dragon Castle I say. Really really good. Go there.

Well, the lions are ok I suppose.

Balls to the lions. The dim sum is brilliant.
