1st FCL Photo Competition

I’ve just created a group on Flickr for FCL purposes. We can use it both for these competitions, and for pics from FCL meetups.

I’ll do some work on it to get the description, rules etc up to scratch. I’ve made it invite only, and non-members can see the pictures but not the discussions.

Who fancies being a fellow admin or moderator?

Hmm I hadn’t noticed that random time, how about 6:30pm? I might want to get some food before the meet, unless they have delicious snacks at the pub? I have been known to survive on Scampi Fries though. mmm lemony.

I don’t mind being co-admin or whatever you need on Flickr.

I think we need to drum up a bit more business though because otherwise there will only be two or three of us (and I can’t find anything in my photostream which fits the theme!!!)

I have taken a picture of something that fits the brief ‘anonymous’. I used a camera and everything.

I’ll bring it along next Wednesday. That being the general idea.

Sorry, I can’t come either. It’s partly due to not having a suitable picture to bring. The subject is a bit too, well, abstract, for my non-creative process-driven brain. I also have something else that I can’t get out of.

Maybe it should be post-poned until a later date when more people are interested???

Ok, seeing as there more people not coming than coming we may as well re-arrange it. A competition with 3 people isn’t going to be very interesting.

How is everyone with 2 weeks from the original date, so 8th August, same time and place?

It is a hard topic to photograph, see the thread about modern art to find ways to talk about any old crap as if it has a deep meaning… its not a deadly serious competition your link to the theme can be as spurious as you like!

As for it being a hard subject, come on – London’s a fantastic place for people who wish to remain or are anonymous. Ladies in burjas, blokes in hi-vis vests, blurred shots of city workers, shop window dummies. Etc.
