Does anyone know something a group of around 15 17/18 year olds can do for my 18th birthday? Im planning to get a limo and then drop us off somewhere. Half the people will be under 18 so we cant get into any bars or clubs. And I want it to be somewhere kind of different that no one else will think of. And under £25 a person? Im planning it to be on Saturday December 1st but that can be changed. Any ideas appriciated! Thank you!!

Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes is an option. Yes, bowling sounds pretty lame – but they have bands playing there and other events every now and again. Worth checking what’s on.

I saw they are putting up the winter skate rink at the Natural History Museum at the moment – could involve one of them somehow.

You could go and watch a TV show being filmed at Teddington Studios, Borehamwood, or Television Centre.

Are you allowed to gamble at that age (I’m not sure). Greyhounds probably aren’t much fun for a bunch of 18 year olds anyway. But they do have stock car racing at the Wimbledon one – maybe if it’s mostly blokes invited.

What do they have at the new O2 centre – I don’t think it’s all bars. Have a look down there.

The only other thing I can think of is a ‘nice meal’ which 25 quid a head won’t really get you in many places – although you could take a look for offers on Toptable just in case.

I’d second bowling, but All Star Lanes in Holborn is much nicer than Bloomsbury. Otherwise, how about lazer tag? Or go-karting? Or urban golf? Or vandalising something? Or going to a gig? You could buy loads of Merrydown and get pissed in your limo before you go anywhere. Don’t throw up in it, mind you, it’ll cost you a fortune.

For a really weird night, how about going to School Disco? Seeing as though everyone dresses up to look younger, you might just get away with it…

Just please dont turn up at my local! And for gods sake School disco is the worst thing to happen to kentish town. I now avoid that road entirely on a saturday Night.

Good luck. I only wish I could remember my 18th. I’m sure it was very good.

And I hope your limo runs on biofuel. I thought you younger types were supposed to be at the cutting edge of environmental concern? Why not get tanked up on alcopops then take a spin round town on those rickshaws, pausing to vomit at points of interest? This has the triple ‘green’ effect in that the vehicle uses no fuel, the vom provides a nice recycled source of protein for growing stuff, and you’ll be nicely green-coloured too.
