London to Brighton

We said this day would come. And now it’s here and we’re just pleased as Punch (and Judy!)
Boho Brighton – It’s England’s loveliest, liveliest and maybe lewdest city by the sea. Brighton shows the rest of Britain how it’s possible to live on the coast and not draw a pension, play bingo and worry about the price of cat food.
And as one of the UK’s unquestionably coolest cities, Brighton seemed a logical next step in our quest for Kudocities.com world domination!
For the benefit of our new Brighton chums Kudocities is all about making the most of the city you live in, and hopefully making some friends along the way.
A good place to start when you sign up is your profile page. Tags enable other users with similar interests to seek you out. The more detailed you are, the easier it is to find you. And hey, if you see someone that sounds interesting why not send them a message and say hi – or something equally non-creepy.
One of the first things you’ll notice is that kudos play a big part of the site (hence the name). You can earn kudos by asking questions, answering questions, writing reviews and generally making your fellow KCBers/KCLers chuckle along the way. Your hard-earned kudos can then be traded out for treats in the real world, making the countless hours you’ll spend idling around here well worthwhile. Lucky, lucky things you!
In the knowledge section, you can ask questions about your city, answer other people’s questions about your city, make observations and post information about exciting upcoming events. We’ve already posted a few questions for you to cut your teeth on. Why not give us your thoughts on this?
It’s all fairly self explanatory so we’ll let you all get acquainted with it in your own time. If you need any help read this or send us a message at help@kudocities.com and we’ll do our best to assist. Of course you can always ask these guys too. They’re a very friendly bunch. And mostly house trained.
As for you existing KCLers, why not spread the Kudocities love and tell all your Brighton-based buddies to sign-up. There’s 25 kudos for every new person you drag to the dark side. And of course you’re all welcome to take a virtual holiday to the sea side and post in our new sister city. Have fun and play nice!
Oh and lest I forget – thank you all tremendously for the amazing support you’ve shown thus far. This one’s very definitely for you.

premiumThis is perhaps rather serendipitous, synchronistic timing … as a good friend had invited me to make use her lovely house near Brighton’s seafront for this Bank Holiday weekend and Whitsun school-hols week to recoup from my ills and spills.
I thought wisest to decline for now as I’m still a bit paranoid about keeling over with an asthmatic relapse and doing myself a mischief far away from home, but foresee toe-filled dabbling in the water, spiffing dashes around the pebbly seafront and munching fat freshly-fried chips with mayonnaise in the good sea-air in a couple of months’ time. You betcha… ;)
