Kudocities and Londonist, Sitting in a Tree

When Kudocities met Londonist, it was like the first time Posh Spice and David Beckham’s eyes met: mutual media advantage at first sight.

Londonist presents a fine blog about this fine city, so we thought it would be great if we could join together and provide Kudocities members with a regular peek into Londonist’s take on London life; while those lovely Londonistas are looking for fresh content from you – the evil borg that is the Kudocities membership.

We asked Hazel Tsoi and Lindsey Clarke, (Kudocities’ very own stella) Editors at Londonist, to explain what the site’s all about.

For those of us that live in a bubble, what is Londonist anyway?

We’re a website about London and everything that happens in it. That means news and events, restaurants and bars, happenings and goings-on plus quirky looks at unusual London places, insider info on secret London and snippets of London history and folklore.

Londonist is the only European city blog in the Gothamist network which covers 10 US cities, Shanghai & Toronto.

Who puts it together?

Londonist is written by a dedicated crack team of London-loving writers who share a passion for the city and have fingers in many interesting pies. It’s a collaborative labour of love to bring you the inside, ringside and flipside of London life, every day.

Can Kudocities people write for Londonist?

Yes! If they fulfil the following criteria:

1. Love London

2. Have experience of blogging

3. Can commit to contributing approx 4 posts a week

4. Will work for the love of it, a free badge, occasional freebies and perks and lots of love from our editors and team!

We’re particularly interested in music and sport writers at the moment but always welcome keen all rounders or people with great ideas and bags of enthusiasm.

We’re collaborating with Kudocities to put the best of our content on your Radar, to help spark questions and discussion in the KCL community. We’re also hoping that you lot will become Londonist readers, commenters, tipsters, photographers and maybe even writers.

We’ll be cropping up in the Radar and the newsletter, informing you about wicked events and joining in the Q&As on Kudocities.
